Purity Audio Design has been designing high end buffer circuits for over a decade. The new Foundation Buffer exceeds even the popular Harmony design from years back and at half the price. The Foundation Buffer features a new, rather unique topology using 2 different circuits for each half of the 12AU7 dual triode tubes. Sporting a lively triode tube stage, the Foundation Buffer delivers powerful and dynamic sonic performance with just  the right amount of tube euphonics to breath new life to your tube or solid state system. Designed from the ground up over the past 5 years, two triode tubes are employed with each tube dedicated to a stereo channel. Using a dual triode allows us to incorporate a unique and different topology for each half of the tube.

The Buffer has 2 sets of RCA inputs but no volume control. While it is designed to be used between source components and a preamplifier, it can still be used to feed a power amplifier but MUST be used in conjunction with a preamplifier or source component with its own volume control.
